A Head Hunter for Investigators
Human resources keep
popping up as a problem in the small world of business intelligence. Both the
profile of candidates and the job market are very special and firms find it so
hard to find the right recruits that they usually `end up by poaching the staff
of their rivals. In a bid to rectify the problem,
Samira Mirza,
the one-time director of business development
for both Investigative Group
International and
Diligence, LLC,
has
launched Compliance Placement,
Inc, an executive
search firm focused on candidates in the investigative and compliance
specialties. Based in New York, Mirza's firm offers its placement services to
law firms, investigative companies, risk management consultancies and
multinationals, as well as investment and private banking institutions. Mirza
launched her own career in the investigative trade in 1996 with Kroll,
where she spent several years as a senior investigator. Prior to founding
Compliance Placement, Mirza served as the head of U.S. operations for
Singapore-based IntegraScreen, a global leader in due diligence and
compliance screening services.
